I started my role in the gskpro.com team working as a business analyst. During this time I mapped out the user journeys in the 24 countries and streamlined the experience to ensure consistency across geographies while also complying with local legal and language requirements. I quickly grew to gain more responsibility and was given the opportunity to lead the scaling out of the platform in 50 markets.

The team consisted of a mix of internal business and tech employees as well as consultants from a partner company. As I started drawing out a strategy for the scale out, I noticed that there was a need to improve the communication between the internal and partner team members. Additionally with market stakeholders and remote workers based across various countries, there was a need to manage the different needs that came with distinct time zones and communication styles.

Keeping in mind these needs as well as regulatory and compliance requirements local to each market, I created a plan for the launch activities with clear accountability and ownership against each item. I also set up regular stand ups where internal and partner team members could come together to share the readiness and raise any risks to the scale out.

By the time we reached the launch stage, the various team members knew one another well, felt comfortable speaking up and had a shared vision for what a successful outcome would look like. With up to 3 launches a day, I ensured that we were communicating our successes and learnings regularly, crediting  team members by name and the contribution they made and were celebrating our milestones.

These improved team dynamics resulted in our launches being completed 100% on schedule.
